Search
Full-text search across notes, code and diagrams
Full-text search across every page you can open: titles, prose, code blocks and the labels inside your diagrams. Matches are highlighted in the result, so you can tell which page has last year's fix before you open it.
Search that understands code and prose
Search is built on Postgres full-text search. Prose is matched with English stemming, so "deploying" finds "deploy", while code identifiers are matched exactly. Results only ever include pages you have access to.
- Titles, paragraphs, code blocks, tables and diagram labels are all searchable
- Highlighted snippets show where the match is
- Titles are searchable the moment you type them; page bodies are indexed about half an hour after you stop editing
Jump anywhere with ⌘K
Press ⌘K, or Ctrl K on Windows and Linux, to open the command palette from anywhere and jump to a page by name. Star the pages you open every day and they stay pinned as favourites in the sidebar.
The same search, from your scripts
On plans with API access, the REST API exposes the same search, scoped to the same access rules, so a CLI or a chat bot can find pages too.
